Halloween - 2005
Nina and Nikola had a blast at Halloween. They very quickly figured out the concept of walking house to house, saying "trick-or-treat" and receiveing lots of candy. Although Nikola wanted to give his candy to the neighbors at the next house. I think he thought it was more of a candy swap. Nina seemed to want to share her candy too and gave some of it to the little girl (Elizabeth) who lives behind us. Here the kids are sizing up their "loot."Nina is dressed up as one of her favorite Disney charaters - Mulan. Nikola is in a Tigger costume. (The Stich costume was way too big, so I think we will save it for another time.) Both costumes were just perfect fits so they didn't have any problems walking house to house. We went around our little court and up and down the next street. That was just the right amount.
"Uncle Mike" went with Mamma (aka Anne) around to the houses with the kids while Pappa (aka Jerry/Skip) stayed at home to give out the candy. People in our neigborhood go all out with the Halloween decorations, so the kids enjoyed seeing them as much as the candy! Nina also spotted a few neighborhood cats along the way, which she of course loves to stop and pet. Happy Halloween to all!
